Find in these some lines our trade secrets for the packaging of our plantations of stevia.
First of all, we select the healthiest plantations to be able to support the journey.
One of our main criteria is the roots of the plantation. We always watch that the rooting is good before proceeding to the packaging of the plantation.
On the left, a jar in which we find two shoots of stevia. It is about plantations which were too much imbricated at the time of the sowing and which we decided to leave together not to damage roots during the transplantation. It happens enough frequently for the biggest pleasure of the customers. |
Once the plantation is selected for the customer, we pack the jar in some cellophane. This operation avoids that the soil or the water spread in the packaging.
Then, we place the plantation in a plastic protection specially conceived for the mail sending of plants. The jar is perfectly maintained in its location and the air part of the plantation is protected from the shocks.
The plantation is then slightly watered to maintain a certain coolness during the transport and the plastic packaging is finally closed and stapled. |
The plastic protection containing the plantation is then positioned in a carton box (left) of which dimensions were adjusted to guarantee an optimal preservation during the transport.
The box is closed with wide adhesive tape and if the order contains more than a plantation, various boxe) are also tapped together (right).
We proceed finally to a last turn of cellophane of all the boxes ; this operation increases the security of your order. |
To finish, we weigh the parcel and stick above the colissimo label containing the address of the customer and the identifier of the parcel which allows to follow it on the site of the Post office until destination.
It is thanks to this elaborated process of packaging that La Maison du Stevia guarantees to her customers that the plantations which are sold to them will travel in the best possible conditions. |
